I'm 5'2", 32DD bust, have short legs and the size Small fit me perfectly and very comfortably. On me the length hit just below the knee but definitely was shorter than a "midi" length. It was the ideal length to compliment a petite frame. I have straight hips (35") and there was enough room to shape my figure yet have room to dance and move around very freely and comfortably. The off-shoulders part of the dress isn't really stretchy but the small really ran true to size - it fit my large chest perfectly without squeezing or feeling baggy as is often the case since I'm petite. I might've been able to fit in an XS but I prefer the comfort and elegance offered in the S. This dress was definitely worth the $!
