Reading some of these reviews, I have no clue what they're talking about. My shoe size is 8.5 and the pants fit perfectly fine over my feet. And there isn't a button? The pants have an elastic waist. The pants are super cute and the quality is top notch. They are somewhat heavy feeling, so probably not something I would wear during the summer months.
